Wildlife & Nature

The Wetlands

(April through  December)
Where you can opt for a guided tour, or simply walk around at your own leisure.  It is well known for its magnificent array of wildlife, and is a favourite for avid birdwatchers (more than 330 species of bird have been noted in the Mareeba Shire).

Granite Gorge Nature Park

A great spot for a fun day out, where you can go for a hike and if you're lucky, feed the rock wallabies!

Emerald Creek Falls

The perfect place for a picnic and swim.
